Full-Time Hourly and Salaried Associates

In addition to competitive salaries, First Investors offers benefits designed to improve the quality of life for our employees and their families. We are concerned about the security and well- being of you and your family, therefore First Investors offers various benefit options to meet your needs. Our packages are extensive, competitive and will vary depending upon employment status.

 
 
 
Medical, Pharmacy and Dental – Full-time employees are eligible for healthcare benefits the 1st of the month following 30 days of employment. First Investors offers several medical plans to choose from based on your individual or family needs. The company contributes a large portion of the premium in order to provide affordable coverage for you and your eligible dependents. 
 
Vision - This plan covers most routine vision care services and supplies that are not normally covered under the medical plan options, including routine eye exams, eyeglasses and contact lenses. Full-Time employees are eligible the 1st of the month following 30 days of employment. Enrollment in other benefits is not required.
 
Flexible Spending Reimbursement Accounts (Healthcare and Dependent Care) - First Ivestors currently offers this tax savings benefit to all Full-Time employees. Whether you need reimbursement for additional healthcare expenses (i.e. co-pays) or for dependent care, you will see the savings immediately instead of at the end of the year. The maximum contribution amounts are: Healthcare $3500/yr., Dependent Care $5000/yr.
 
Short-Term Disability – This optional insurance is available to full-time employees on the 1st of the month following 30 days of employment. Short-term disability insurance is a supplemental insurance plan that begins paying weekly benefits after a 7 day elimination period. This income replacement continues as long as you are under a physician’s care and are unable to return to work (up to a maximum of 90 days).
 
Long-Term Disability - First Investors provides long-term disability insurance to all employees and is 100% employer paid. After 90 days of consecutive absence an employee may qualify for a benefit of 60% of their basic monthly earnings up to a maximum of $6000.00. The purpose of long-term disability insurance is to provide employees with protection against financial hardships resulting from disability, sickness, accidents and death. The plan provides continued income during the period an individual is unable to work and receive a regular paycheck.
 
Basic Life Insurance & AD&D – First Investors provides Basic Life insurance and Accidental Death and Dismemberment insurance to all full-time employees who have met the eligibility requirements. This is 100% employer paid and employees are covered at one times (1X) their annual salary.
 
Voluntary Life Insurance – Employees who wish to purchase additional life insurance products for themselves, spouses or children may do so at the First Investors group rate. Employees must meet eligibility requirements and must purchase life insurance products for themselves in order to add family coverage.
 
401(k) Retirement Plan - All employees are eligible to participate in our 401(k) program upon meeting eligibility requirements. Employees who have completed 90 days of employment may enroll in the plan during the next available quarterly enrollment (Jan 1st, Apr 1st, Jul 1st, and Oct 1st). First Investors currently matches 50% of employee contributions up to 3% of their annual salary. Statements are provided quarterly and investment changes can be administered on-line.
 
 
Vacation Paid Time – First Investors knows that vacations are an important contributor to the health and vitality of our employees. The number of weeks of paid vacation increases with the number of years of service and is on an accrual basis. After 6 months of service employees are eligible for 1 week of vacation.
 
Sick Paid Time – First Investors always hopes good health for every employee, but on those occasions when you need treatment, we offer paid time off which is on an accrual basis from your date of hire.
 
Flexible Holiday Paid Time – First Investors also offers paid time off for occasions that do no fall on regular holidays. This time is based upon your date of hire.
 
Employee Referral Rewards – First Investors is always looking for good candidates to join our staff. Employees who refer applicants who are hired are eligible for a monetary reward both at the time of hire and after the employee completes six months of service.

Service Awards – First Investors prides itself on the friendly, family-like team environment. We have many employees that have enjoyed working at FIFS and will continue on for many years. For each (5) year increment of service, employees receive special monetary awards along with company recognition for their dedicated and loyalty to FIFS.

 
 
 
Direct Deposit is available for all employees and is available on the second pay distribution week of employment.
 
First Investors is currently on a Bi-weekly payroll which is 26 pay periods per year. Paychecks are paid one week in arrears and are distributed on Fridays.
